Agreed 100% they are well-made.

So...why do you need anyone else to sell parts? Nearly all OEM parts I put on my car I know will last 100k miles without failure.

Absolutely the best Buick GM never produced.

Just like MB, Ferrari, Audi, and Lexus many parts are only available at the 150 dealers or by mail,

Why would a chain store bother to carry parts that they would rarely sell?

Heck many dealers depend on 2nd day from regional warehouses or air from Japan.

I work for Advance Auto Parts. When someone walks through the door with a Q and asks for a part(s), I smile (chuckle when I know they're not expecting the cost of the parts), pull out my phone, and call IOS. Once I get cost and time frame of delivery, I give the customer the info and IOS's number.

I owned two Mazda 929s. Finding Q45 parts is easy by comparison. Even Mazda dealers didn't stock most of the parts. One Mazda dealer's parts department insisted that the 929 didn't exist and asked me if I was actually asking about the 626.

I depended heavily on eBay and Mazda Recycling in California.

My 97' lowered with Tein Springs coupled with KYB SR Specials and 19" M45 Sport rims pushed out to the edge with spacers make my Q as close to a buick as VW. I got comments on my Q when I drive it around town "what is that, what a cool car" while it had some Buick-ness to it, a few grand it you transformed it into a poor mans M or R class car.

Not to mention the worst build quality that Buick has had in the past. I think they are doing some of the right things now.

Funny how the 97-01 was looked at as the Q41, the compromise etc and the 2002 came out as the "no excuses" Q45 and sold far worse. Given the number of 2nd Gen out there it is surprising there aren't more parts for it.

I love my 2nd gen which is the BEST build out of all models imo! I just wish I would've waited and puchased atleast a 99 so I could have the HID's. Well I've read that the 05-06 Q's were perfect since they squashed all of the little bugs by 05. My car has been basically trouble free and the transmission still shift fine w/out the transmission cooler. I have a couple of things that I plan to do before this year out:

1) Rattle at start up then goes away after car is warm. I know its one of the pulleys but I have to figure out which one has the bad bearings then I will replace.

2) Change all transmission fluid. M1 is still red as I speak but I plan to switch to a Dex VI this time around. Last mechanical exchange was @ 175k.

3) Change spark plugs.

4) Let Andy change my KS once I find time to go to Atl.

5) Change diff fluid. Its been 30k since my last change but I was told that I could push the fluid longer since I don't live in dusty areas and I'm not towing cars/boats...
