The former is debatable, and the latter is simply not true. As I said above: the Genesis is absolutely NOT a performance car. It's quick, but EVERYTHING is quick these days. It's a cushy-riding luxury car that will eat the BMW's dust in any spirited driving conditions. It doesn't corner like a performance car, it doesn't control body movements like a performance car, and it doesn't react like a performance car. From impressions I've heard, it also doesn't communicate like a performance car. Reviews I've read show that it does post excellent roadholding numbers. However, it fails to translate those into actual good handling. If you want to go straight or drive in a circle really fast, the Genesis is your car. Otherwise, it takes a distant second to the BMW at best.

The Genesis is a Lexus-killer, not a BMW-challenger.

I'm not even sure why people keep mentioning the Genesis. If the Genesis has a BMW "equivalent" it's the 5, not the 7.

it takes the 550i... so the 7 series is out of the question. looks wise it looks better but those damn badges would kill me in the mornings when i get in it. Lets face it there wont be another car with 1991 Q45A goodies. Why i say that? because when the Infiniti brand came im sure people looked at it like a Hyundai but it turned out a great car... get it?

I'm fairly sure that's exactly why Hyundai decided NOT to put their emblem on the Genesis' grille. The Genesis only has one Hyundai emblem on the body; the one on the trunk.

They will come off if i ever buy it! Plus i will get double limo tint all around except the wind shield. Is it me or the grille is alot like a MBZ or Cima Y33 grille?

I'd like to see each car after 5 years. Cheap cars are cheap.
