Here's some pics from last afternoon. We got the head on with new manifold studs. It's bolted to 30lbs and we let it sit over night. Today it gets the 40 & 50lb steps. The thermostat housing (with new thermostat) is on. You can see my daughter is torquing the head on.

Today, finish torquing the head on, water pump (new!) goes on, manifolds go back on, valve train, carbs, linkage (missing some parts but I'll find em or make em), rad goes in plus hoses. Other little stuff like oil filter, drain gas tank, new gas etc... Then if we get all of that done today it's fire up time.

Head is on, valve cover is just placed there for now (as we are not done with the head)

These are before pics.

The block.

The timing cover area (grossness).

The #1 where the previous guy had sucked an intake valve. Instead of welding it, I just found another one. I'll weld & mill this out, but now it's not a priority.
