The 5th gear in a 1993.5 G20

Is there another transmission I can use or gears that willwork to replace the 5th gear? It currently had the non-lsd. I would like to keep it so I dont haveto do much work.

Later G20's up to 99, 95-98 200SX SE-R, and non-Performance Package 00-01 Sentra SE's have non-LSD transmissions without 5th gear problems.

Is there something wrong with you current transmission? 5th gear pop starting? Find a 95 or 96 g20 transmission. If you want it to be a direct swap make sure you don't get one from the g20t, that will require you to get a different driver side axle. The 200sx se-r transmission has LSD just like the 91-94 sentra se-r transmission.

Well I was wanting to do a direct swap. Yea the sincrows (sp)are all worn out. Can I take the fifth out of a LSD and put it in the Non lsd?

It's going to be more of a pain and probably more expensive to just swap out a gear. Swap the whole transmission and save yourself the headaches.
