Troublesome?????????

Ill maintained sophisticated suspension system is more likely the case...

You can check the active suspension codes easily and see WHY the light is coming on.

What else can you "maintain" beside filling up the ACTSUS fluid level?

I checked the fluid and there's no fluid past that filter... it is low? my ACTSUS light just went off intermitently, not all the time, how do I get the error code for it (any link for the procedure and is there any special tool to do it?) ... and is there any link to buy the refilling fluid?

Sorry for the stupid question (to some), this car is totally new to me...one last question, my car's manufacture date is March of 1993...is the timming guide also an issue I need to worry ?

Thank you

turn the car on, flip the N/H switch back and forth more than 10 times within 10 seconds, leave it on the N setting, and then the active light will start blinking. Count the long and short blinks and report back.

____ ____ _____ -- -- -- --

The above would be code 34.

Go to the following link and look at page 65. That is how to do the ACTIVE test.

http://www.infinitoptions.com/...A.pdf

Page 66 tells you what each code means. Let us know what code(s) you get.

Ignition switch to on (car is not running)Switch the N/H 10 times each way so 20 times total in less than 10 secs. Stop at N.Look at your ACTSUS light in the cluster and read the code.

Top off the fluid with original Fluid A:

Dude,

Fasten your seatbelt, you're in for a rough ride, and I'm not speaking about your suspension problem. Good Luck.

If your used to owning a Z32tt this wont be a problem.

Q45s are very reliable, some people just have better experiences then others, and thats directly correlated to how well the car was taken care of in its past lives.

Probably. Just read and study the FSM, then read all posts by Q45tech. Do follow the links he provides also.

...ok, after almost a week after I filled up 2 qt of the fluid, now noticed it started dripping right in front of the driver wheel (under the ACTSUS fluid reservoir?) .... anyone has the same problem??? I tried to search for "leaking ACTSUS" came up no topic.... is there any oil we can put in to stop the leak??? I've looked at the suspension from underneath but could not find any leak directly from the suspension (all 4).

thank you

Try active as ACTSUS is not really a word.

Why don't you email Keith?

Just got a 1 gallon MMO, anyone use this with GAS/Engine oil ??? any side affect? and the dripping started to slow down and looks like It lost about 2oz of fluid in 10 days ... I dont see any drip on the floor anymore btw (w/o the MMO) ??? the Q is just weird, I'm totally lost with this car given 15 years owning Z31's and Z32TT...

Have no complaint about its drivability though

MMO is a short term fix. Plan on replacing the fluid within the year.

anything short of replacement accumulators and acuators is short term solution. I have a feeling he just wants it to stop dripping and the light to stay off so it doesnt ride a like a horse and buggy

Bad accumulators aren't too expensive - in the neighborhood of $1200 to rehab all 9 of them. Check out texasoil's site:

http://www.q45asuspension.com

And spend some time reading his posts on NICO - search for posts by texasoil - both in "topic titles" and "post bodies", and search in "archived" and "recent". That's 4 separate searches.

How do you know if you have active suspension?
