Well today i had an interesting ride home. had to stay in second because i couldnt put it into another gear. and then i had to go through stop signs because i couldnt get it into 1st. it was a interesting rie home.

well you know it can not go into gears at all now. what do u think it is.

yesterday i bleed the system and i noticed fluid in the boot where the valve bolt is. I dont know if thats the slave cylinder or what because im not good with clutch systems. so any thoughts would be helpful. Im not losing any hydrolic fluid so i dont htink its a leak but who knows.

Similar thing happened to me. I was stopped at a light and couldnt shift/get into gear (very embarrassing) I had to turn the car off, put it into first, and then crank it all the way to the side of the road. It was my clutch. It basically fell apart due to wear and tear. One of the springs on the disk came off.

From what you said, I'm guessing that its just air in the line since you're not losing fluid. Did you bleed your clutch system the "proper way?" I only say that because of the damn clutch dampener that you have to bleed too. I'm not really sure how to do it myself. I took mine to a shop when I got a new clutch.

I have a feeling others will suggest removing the clutch dampener altogether and re-bleeding the system (if you haven't already) Hopefully that helps.

I had similar probelms at one point. It turned out that my pedal needed to be adjusted properly. There was too much play. I'd start off small and work your way up until you find the source of your problem. Good Luck!

well this has been goping on for weeks now. it started off at the clutch pedal adjusting. then i bled the clutch because adjusting the pedal wasnt helping any more.

i dont know if im going to fix it because the clutch was worn in the 1st place. and the engine is not strong any more. and the hatch is broken, leaks and sealed shut because i was hit in the back and the car is technically totalled.

so fixing the clutch would be like giving a heart transplant to a 80 year old guy with lung cancer

Last week after i got off of work i go to my car and the clutch was froze up. Pop the hood and notice that theres no clutch fluid. I check under the clutch pedal and notice a leak too. Yea so bad ceals on the master and slave. I guess it's a common problem on 240's.

Same thing happened to me, luckily I wasn't far from my house, and managed to get it home. Then my dad took the boot off of where the slave cylinder is, and bits and pieces of the clutch friction surface fell out.

i had the same thing happen in my old rx-7. I would have to pump the clutch to get any pressure.....rev it up to 5-6k and then just take off(2nd gear). It was fun smokin the tire the entire way home.
