Figred I'd add my car into the mix of images for front-end conversions. I never thought I'd go S14.5, I really didn't care much for it when I saw it before and really just wanted to stay Zenki or go Kouki. I got a good deal on a S15 front-end though and since my front-end was goofed up it was an opportune time.

Let me say that it isn't a minor modification, at least if you want OEM-like fitment. Plenty swap the front but they usually look like ****, poor fiberglass fenders, cheap bodywork and bad mounts all make for a chop swap that is commonplace. S14xman (I think that is his name) has a pretty good swap and there are a couple others too that actually spent time on theirs to get it right and it made me appreciate the concept of the swap seeing their cars.

Mine is done by using special fabricated front mounts; zenki fenders that were cut at the windshield down to the bumper and reshaped along the hood, headlamp and bumper; The bumper is an OEM S15 with the license plate frame removed and smoothed to the curvature of the bumper.

Using a S15 core support, reinforcement bar and headlamp brackets would offer the best fit IMO, although I feel my setup has about the best fitment you'll find on a Zenki S14.5 that is on par with using all OEM parts. Mending S14 and S15 OEM fenders would help to, but I personally preferred the zenki fenders being worked over as they flare out more overal and offer better wheel clearance than the S15's where just the wheel arch flares out.

What kind of hood is on your s14? I like the way it looks. I just got my s14 and plan to do something with the front end eventually.

OEM-style carbon-fiber hood, the center-section is tinted carbon-fiber, sort of hard to take a picture of though.

Hey I'm a noob and I'm interested in buying an s14. So I was looking at them on the internet and I came across something that I don't understand. In this thread it is stated that the LE(that's the ONLY edition with leather right?) was only an option for the 97-98's. Well I saw an s14 on the internet that they say is a 96. But it has leather. So I thought, well maybe it's a typo and it's really a 97. But that can't be because it has the Zenki front and rear of the 96's.

Can someone explain?

I'm not too sure of the different specs on the S14 but maybe the owner got the seats from a 97 model...??? I have 180sx type x seats on my car (240sx)....

Just playing the devil's advocate....

check out -cars.com-autotrader-local paper-your best bet to find a clean 92 240sx for a good deal would be to keep your eyes open for ones driving around or sitting in people's backyard. Many times these people just want to get rid of their car that they don't drive anymore, that's when you move in for the deal

*edit: holy shyt I was replying to the first page lmao! that's what work 2 in the morning will do i guess..

Hey guys I am new to the 240SX scene.. I was just wondering about the legality of turbo'd KA engines. I know the SR20DET might pass the smog test with a high flow cat and close to stock tuned engine, but what about KA-T's?

Thanks ( I have searched, but it seems to be unclear )
