Some minor injuries but nothing long-lasting at least. Just love the distracted drivers out there not paying attention to the road.
Next car will probably not be a Nissan. The Rogue was a nice place to live in and had a ton of nice features. But its engine was a complete dog unless I floored it on the highway. There were also some minor reliability issues that made me question whether it was worth it in the long term. But I'm probably just going to forego some of the "luxury" type features the Rogue offers in favor of a CUV with a little more power instead.
That's good that you only had some scratches and bruises (if that's what you are considering as minor injuries) and came out alive.
You should definitely take a look at the CRV or the brand new RDX if you want something that is a little sporty. I had the LX trim for a loaner when the dealer crashed a new car into my 6th gen Accord (model year 1998-2002, mine is a 1999) that was waiting to get some warranty work done. The EX-L or Touring model of the CRV would best fit for you since you had the SL trim of the Rogue.
There are so many ignorant drivers here in my part of Florida, especially the this one street that I live close to. I have had sooo many close calls because people are just too dang impatient to wait for all cars to leave that has no stop sign.
I forgot to mention that my Rogue was hit by a pick-up truck at over 20MPH on a highway (I was stopped in traffic) so it could've been way worse considering the extra weight and momentum of the other vehicle. So I'm thankful the Rogue was able to protect us as intended and we only got minor injuries.
I would look at the CRV but I've never been a fan of Honda's interior design. Their center console layout and infotainment are just ugly to me along with the tacky woodgrain trim. I will miss the Rogue's simple and understated elegance with their interior design. It was professional and clean without being overbearing or trying to be something it wasn't really. Plus their super comfortable seats.
Another issue now with the CRV are rumored issues with their new turbo engine. There's complaints being raised of gasoline leaking into the oil pan and causing issues...not a good combo. The new RDX looks nice but it won't be out for a bit longer and I don't want to wait till the end of the year to get a new car. The current-gen RDX has a pretty inefficient V6 engine so that's not too appealing.
I'm actually looking at a Forester XT as one potential replacement option. Even decked out, it won't be as nice as the Rogue was or even as many features. But it will have a ridiculously powerful engine that will cure me of lethargic CUV syndrome.
