Nope.. i just pulled it off.... the only thing that holds the weather stripping there is sealant, i talk to alot of ppl about it and ask about too... and i seen the write up on the 180sx quarter window replacement and thats how it was done just a good thick bead of sealant and just place the stripping on top of it and let it tryCSUPUEBLOTIM wrote:How were you able to remove the rear quarter window weather stripping? I was under the assumption the glass and stripping were one piece. Let me know. I would love to be able to remove mine before I paint it. Thanks.

Car before, fender and doors had alot of damage epcially on the body line, hood was completely scratched up, it had alot of little dents, one of the headlight covers was a different color, and the paint was chipping all over the weather stripping u can see the red the original color of the car.
after all body work done no dents just need to cut and polish

well the door jams.. didnt primer just wet sanded it, wet sand 400 then 600 then 800. then we put some bulldog adhesive promoter just helps it stick to the little peaces might have missed. We took the doors and fenders completely off. Just spayed 3 coats of white, then the pearl and clear and just let it cure for a couple of days before putting the doors back on. The paint was called valspar. We have a big a** compressor and a actual good paint gun. Yeah taping took a white because it has to right. No point of going all that work and end up with white paint on your dashTroubleBound wrote:What did you do for the jams? i want to have mine painted soon and have the interior all riped apart and getting ready, but the motor needs swapped in first which i wont have for 3 months, so i won't paint the body till then, but if i could paint my jams at home that would be sweet. Prep work still the same just sand it down and primer and sand and paint? Did you rattle can or do you have a gun at your house? I want mine white to yours turned out good what paint/primer you use? I hope i tape mine off good yours looks sweet
