...and engines, and platforms, and parts....lol.

Sure, they're not carbon copies, but Nissan would be stupid to use a completely different set of stuff instead of platform sharing. I agree that it's not like the I35 and the Maxima being the same car anymore, but many things still hold true between the two.

No platforms are shared aside from the Z and the trucks. It is indeed two separate sets of stuff.

In short, when your first post (accidentally) listed hundreds of HIDs for sale, the General Populations here is going to "defend" against what appeared to be a spammer.

Looks like things have worked out. Welcome to NICO.

The nissan FM platform has been used on the G35, Z, M35, FX, and EX. That seems like the same platform...

It's easy to mask platforms with new body architecture. In the end, it's all about saving money.

The Q45 was based on the Nissan Cima and President platforms.

That's not what I was saying though. I said that no Nissans except the Z and trucks share platforms with Infinitis. Referring to USDM/CDM, etc. where the Infinitis aren't Nissans themselves, of course. Every Nissan but the Z and trucks is FWD. Nissan's FWD platforms aren't even all the same, and they definitely aren't related to the FM platform in any way.

There can't be an platform off the FWD nissan's to the infiniti's because there is no FWD infiniti...at least not since earlier in the decade, and at that point there was the sharing. All of the Infiniti's are using the FM platform, shared from Nissan, with the exception of the big stuff. Most of the FWD cars from Nissan (Altima, Maxima, Murano, Quest...) all share the FF-L platform now...

The smaller stuff I'm not too sure of (the sentra, versa, etc)...

I agree though that nothing else is using the FM platform...

What was the orginal arguement about?

this thread has more fail then my threads, and they have a lot of failure. Nissan is not Infiniti? WTF. This club is Nissan and Infiniti Car Owners. The Infiniti Q45 is the same as the Nissan Cima except for USDM and JDM modifications

It was about that. Apparently we've been in agreement all along and just didn't realize it.

Actually, the FF-L platform is dead now. The big Nissans use the "A" platform (which is probably just an evolution of FF-L, though). Sentra/Rogue use B, and Cube, Versa, etc. use C (although the Versa uses a long-wheelbase version of C that's bigger than the normal C cars.
