First off, thanx NICO forums for saving my a**. I just bought my first 1990 ka24e 240sx for 700$ with 80k miles not running. Thanx to these forums i found out it was a number of things. It would run and die about ten seconds later. Disconnect that mother f**king P.A.I.R valve, that thing clogged my Idle air control valve, and gummed up my throttle body and intake/dirtied my mass airflow sensor. I cleaned out everything (bought maf cleaner) and bypassed the vac lines to the PAIR valve and she runs sweet. Ive been up and down this motor and thanx to nico forums Ive been able to bring the car back to life. On a side note, i also did a tune up and wow check for corrosion if you have bosch wires. i work at autozone and im never recommending those again. THEY SUCK BAD. no dielectric grease in the boots and they corroded and caused a miss. if anyone has any questions about their ka idle problem, maybe i can help. Im a good mechanic but this is only the third 240 ive worked on and the first one Ive owned. thanx again NICO -mike-
