Sounds like when I sent my injectors off for rebuilding (bad idea, but anyway) they tried to deliver it to the wrong address TWICE! USPS next day air. UPS left an alternator from Scottsdale sitting on the dock once.... They all suck, and proportionally to how quickly you want/need to drive the car.

i've ordered A LOT!! of stuff and I've never had a problem with FEDEX. I pick their service whenever I can. Diamond, one week isn't bad considering I was without the J30 for over a month when my ECU was sent to JWT. All the waiting I do is frustrating, but I've began to get a lil used to it. Diamond, I'm gonna email you offline some info about other things..

THat's why we dropped UPS. They are terrible on the Eastern half of the U.S.. I have had nothing but complaints. We usa Airbourne now and the're pretty good.-Joe

Sorry to butt in but I got no response from a previous thread. Eswift, VimyJ Any independent shops in Chicagoland you'd recommend? I'm in NW IN.

I take my J to a local foreign car shop here in Elgin. They're pretty experienced with BWM, Jag and Benz and are getting a handle on the J now. They said they did the chain guides on a Q once. But Elgin is on the exact opposite corner of Chicagoland from you and that's a fairly decent drive (I play with Northwest Indiana Symphony from time to time so I know). Eswift is further south of me so he might know of a shop that could be more handy for you.
