So my parents are in their late 60s and were on their way to NYC....
2 miles before the bridge they had a blowout and pulled into a gas station off the highway...

The AAA call gets made... 45 minutes later my mother calls back... they say another 45 minutes...

Then a crapbox with 5 Puerto Rican guys pulls up behind them and asks them to move (they were blocking the vacuum at the station)...

My mother explains she is nervous to move it because of the flat... and 5 Puerto Rican guys come out and change the tire in under 10 minutes..

I say Puerto Rican because they thought my mother was (she is not, and doesnt speak spanish)...

Anyway thanks to those 5 random fellas who helped my parents out, and then refused to take any money... They said that they would want someone to help if it was their parents.... I owe you one fellas! :werd:

Tell your story when a stranger helped you... or you helped a stranger...

I can't really think of a time a stranger has ever helped me, but I definitely remember helping some out.
One time I was driving my then girlfriend to the airport and saw a 240 broken down on the side of the road. She was in a rush (and I didn't have any extra room in the car anyway), but said I'd help if he was still there on my return trip. He was, and we spent the next 4 hours together working on the car on the side of the road and making trips to auto parts stores to find the right parts and tools.

I gave a pregnant woman a ride to the grocery story in the middle of winter once. She was walking down the sidewalk with a very thin coat on and it was snowing.

I was in an auto accident in January. Two people stopped to make sure I was ok, and offered witness testimony that the other driver was at fault.
