Helped me do (actually he did it all!) the nav and dvd hack this weekend. It's nice to finally be able to use the dvd player when the car is actually in motion. I'm glad I had help. Not that it is overly difficult, but I would have been stuck in a couple places if I would have had to do it alone. His experience from doing it previously saved me a bunch of time. Not sure how much I'll use the nav hack portion, though. After 20 minutes, the gps still didn't recognize where it actually was. When I came to a stop, it immediately corrected itself, but that kind of takes away the purpose. Anyway, just wanted to give props where do and to recommend at least the dvd hack to those on the fence.

No problem at all. Thought it wouldn't take as long as it did...just had been awhile since I had done it. Enjoy. I agree...I rarely use the NAV portion. Mainly cuz I usually know where I'm going, lol.

That is my reason for not getting the Tech package with the NAV in my car in the first place. On the rare occasions when it is a new address, I simply look it up on Google maps before I set out ... the semi-old-fashioned way. My wife just keeps a San Jose and Bay Area map in her car.
