Thanks for the Advice Guys - I finally got my EX35 this afternoon !!! Woohooo!

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Congrats!!

I see you have an Audi ... I sold my 3rd Audi, an '01 S4, to get an EX. Love the product but couldn't tolerate the abysmal local service any more.

You may have other reasons for buying an iPod, but if you just want to play MP3s and see the song titles, etc, it'd be much more effective to use Compact Flash cards. You'll be able to navigate the songs using the built-in controls, as well as swap cards easily/cheaply. (2GB CF cards can be had for $10 or so now and will hold up to 500 songs.)

Sorry to hear about your Audi dealer. I left my old Audi dealer for another one that's about 15 minutes farther away. This other Audi dealer is really good at taking care of customers, so I'm currently satisfied with them.

I didn't get the Nav package for my EX, so I don't think I have the Compact Flash.

If I could just find an used iPod with 4-8 gigs for $50 or less ... that's enough.

Markup Motors not servicing you properly too? I dealt with them for close to ten years when I was in Ottawa and was unhappy with their service. I moved to Victoria a couple of years back and am not happy with the local Audi dealer. Great products but a lousy ownership experience. It was so bad that after a decade of Audi\VW ownership, my wife did not want to check out the Audi's\VW and we went ahead with the EX35. Now, I guess we'll find out what the Infiniti ownership experience is like.

Thanks for sharing your similar Audi experiences!

Since I drove an Audi from 1990 until 2008 (three different ones, two of them S4's so not low-end models by any means), I think I've given them a "fair shake".

In terms of "Infiniti ownership experience", so far I'm a little "underwhelmed" by many of their design/engineering decisions as well as the lack of access to customer feedback and proper support (e.g. their 800 number is a joke, being particularly unhelpful).

Unlike Lexus, they don't seem to be delivering on their promise as a "premium brand". But, my EX is now only 10 months old so there's time yet for them to change my mind.

Cheers,David

I'm not familiar with the options/packages in the USA but the manual lists different operational limits for the CF card depending upon whether or not the car has NAV, so I assumed you could get it without NAV.

Anyway, good luck finding your used iPod!

Another pic of my new Black EX35 with my Audi A6. My wife is afraid Black would scratch easily. I told her about the self-healing paint. LOL
