As I have worked in the auto repair business and had to endure customer comments. I know the majority of them are to ***** or complain. This is not one of those. I would like to thank all the techs and non-techs for all the useful information gathered here and shared freely. Due to efforts and labor I have been able to do the following;#1 Replace the MAS and clean the connections#2 Replace and adjust the TPS correctly.#3 Install an aftermarket Transmission cooler#4 Install a 94 fuel rail with the updated injectors.#5 Remove the rear muffler and install a cross-over exhaust system#6 Diagnose and clean the connector at the CAS#7 Install new cam chain tensioners (guides already replaced)#8 Install upsized tires with the correct off-set#9 R&R the transmissionWhere I live up here in the NW we have a chain called DR Injector. When I had acquired the 94 fuel rail, I found that 2 of the injectors were bad. I called him and much to my surprise quoted me $50.00 an injector. I made the trip to his shop and found it to be pretty impressive with all the test equipment and such. The price was double checked and indeed it was $50.00 and injector. He had 2 in stock and got the other 6 in a few days. He then flow checked them for the fuel balance. He even threw in the correct seals at the manifold. So far it runs and starts like it should. Idles evenly with no shudder at all. He gave me 2 rebuilt and 6 new ones for that price. He gets them through the chain out of California and he said that they are already upgraded to live with our current fuel mix. The other item, is that I live in the Portland/Vancouver area up in Oregon. We have 6 LKQ u-pull its in the area and usually at any given time I have 3 to 4 Q45’s to pick from for parts at the different lots. The prices are extremely cheap, TCU $21.00, MAS $36.00, ECU $23.00, and so on. I would be willing to help out any one and pass on the price with a small charge for my labor.
Thanks again to all that contribute to this forumJonseyQ45
