Car: Thinking my friend and I have mechanical skills

Post

I don't want to continue a thread or even get a responce for this, but since I don't know your email address, I just wanted to say thanks Fred. I'm glad that we have good ACTIVE moderators who allow good free argument but do not let in get out of control and shut it down when it does. I was getting pissed at all on that JDM silvia thread and was about to ask for it to be blocked right before you did it. **** like that will destroy this community. I love NICO I have been here for awhile now and I attribute everything I have ever learned about my 240sx and mechanic skills in general to this board. I hate to see people get in pissing contest on here.

So to sum it up, thanks guys for making this the best forum I've ever been apart of!

Thank you moderators for being active and doing what you feel and know is right to keep this board free and trying to keep the truth as close as possible.

Peace, Scott :ylsuper

i totally agree. i think the mods deserve more respect than they usually get, and my thanks goes out to everyone who makes this board a success. without it, i would still be stuck on speedoptions.com

Generally a thankless job. Well, thank you all :). I have donated a bit of money to support NICO, but even the money (I safely assume) would be to go towards the upkeep of the server, not to pay the moderators for what they do. I would say the mods are a great team of volunteers which allow us to enjoy the automotive world moreso than without their help. They are true car enthusiasts in my books! Thanks again guys.

I think it'd be impossible to hate Fred, or any of the mods really.

it's what happens when you spend a weekend hanging out with most of them.

Threads like this make it ALL worthwhile.

We wouldn't have mods/admins without members - you guys do a GREAT job of policing your own forums, and I'll say, it's VERY impressive that we rarely have to intervene.

NICO members are top-notch people. I am proud to steer this ship. :)

Ah man, I missed a fight. Darn. You know I am one for a good heated discussion.

The mods here do a good job keeping the peace. They are one of the reasons this is still the best car forum on the net.

As a newcomer not too long ago, I gotta say the mods here are some of the most mild mannered, polite, and informative guys I've had the chance to interact with.

I have to aggree. I have spent my fair share of time on Zilvia, FA, 240sxforums, etc. but ever since I came here, I stuck here. I never go to any other boards unless I am there searching through archives to find the answer to a question without having to start a new thread here. So, thank you to all the mods for making this a truely pleasant place to be. If you would make is a little less pleasant, I would probably have to be more productive in the other aspects of my life...who wants THAT?!

Thank you all for the kind words! Its good to see our efforts and (very) hard work are appreciated.

We have all tried to make this site successful with the most carefully selected and coached Moderator Team of any site I know of.

A NICO innovation of sorts...

the S14 project:

We still need donations folks.I just took it off for now to make room for another soon-to-come announcement on some NICO news.

Here is also an address to send a money order or check to (payable NICO) if you dont use paypal:

NICO ClubATTN: Site Donation237 Fernwood Blvd. Ste. 111Fern Park, FL 32730

Thank you for any donations! We are not quite out of the red yet, but getting closer every month and members donations have really helped!

Or you can make the check payable to "chet's college fund"

:D

no, seriously...I(and my other mods, for sure) do this stuff because we love cars, and we love the cumminity that's here. I'm personally impressed often with the membership here and its ability to clean out the BS and plain wrong stuff sometimes...

I'm just glad to help
