You all may not know it but you have helped immensly with my decission to purchase an 03 M45.

I believe that I have just sealed a deal for an 03 M45 with 13k (I couldn't believe it either).

I know I will be asking many questions as I learn my new (to me) M45.

Thanks again.

Welcome and Congratulations! Did you get a carfax report on the M? If not, get it since theres still a few "Katrina cars" for sale! Also, watch out for an '06 M45 sport w/Texas plates... I'll be making a trip to visit friends in NOLA and a "day" at horseshoe. I'll take my DVR camera w/me so there can be a nice video of the generations playing together D.

You can try a Carfax report but remember that you will only find information that has been reported to insurance companies and such and even then it is not 100% that you will find the truth.Cheers and good luck with the deal.

May we ask what you are paying for such low mileage???

I might pause on a 4 yr old car with 14,000 miles. At a minimum this car has sat around not being driven. NOT GOOD for engine and transmission seals. Secondly, WHY??? If something is too good to be true, why are you getting this opportunity.Just the Devils Advocate.

My M only has 17,000 miles on it......and it runs fantastic...no problems here. And, it's for sale on ebay.

Well gang, thanks for the welcom, and the support.

Yes I did pull a CarFax. Habitual being a car guy, and yeah I know it only gives half the story.

I also have a habit of finding places like this and current owners to discuss or "Lurk" cruising the site to find out the +/- of what ever the flavor of the month is.

I have always liked this body style, and couldn't believe that it had such low miles, but then when looking I found a number of them (all 03's) with very low (less than 25k) milage! Also quite a few in the high teens and low twenties in fantastic condition.

Yes I said "WHY ME, WHY NOW, could this be a sign?" But it has been a great month, new job, new car that i have admired for since the first one I saw, and .........

from BMW 5's (great handling) to Caddy STS's (fairly quick) and finally the M.Time will tell, but I think it may be a keeper.

It was a sign. It was to good to be true. There was an issue with the title (in the wrong name) and the financing did not go through!

So back to ebay. More Home work. more emails, pictures and conversations.

Bid, win, now waiting for delivery. What this time? A Pearl white with black interior, fully optioned 35k car. Waiting for delivery fingers crossed.

Wish me luck gang.

Wahoo!

I've read the pros, read the cons, read that it is a monster, .....

THIS THING IS INCREDIBLE.

I will not list the kills as that would be irresponsible (oops!)

Speed, luxury, stealth. How could I have almost baught a GS!

It finally came. Peal over black. Only thing missing is the Nav, but Oh-hell who needs it. Garmin is my pal!

And the better half (LOL) loves it too! Now she wants a silver one!
