Hey guys,
I run a 95 base Model with a sunroof. About a year ago, my roof ate the seal around the glass, chewing up the fiberglass trim piece that pins the seal down onto the metal frame of the window. Now I've gotten sick of looking at the duct tape atop my car, so I'm reverse engineering and manufacturing a replacement fiberglass piece. Anyone who has had a similar problem should know that you cannot buy a replacement from Nissan. I was told by the local stealership that it comes with the glass at a whopping $1100+. After perusing the selection at the nearest junkyard, I decided to embark on a project.
Anyone else in need? I'm going to figure out the cost after I make mine, and I could offer them unpainted so you can make them look however crazy or stupid you desire. But we'll have to see what I could get out of it first, then I'll decide if it's worth producing.
Reply if you want one, and if there's enough demand, I'll make some.
