testing the vlsd

i was told that inorder to see if your VLSD was still properly functioning or not youre suppose to lift up the back and rotate the wheels. and that if your VLSD was still working, you could spin the wheel one way and the other wheel would either, go the same direction, or move in the opposite direction. i forgot which one is it. the VLSD is suppose to be different from a regular LSD. does anyone know which direction it should turn? thanks.

Boring way:

An open diff they will spin opposite directions and the vlsd/lsd should spin in the same direction.

Fun way:

Rev it up and dump the clutch, get out of the car and see if both wheels left rubber.

VLSD's don't respond the same way as a CLSD, a VSLD uses viscous pressure generated by a sliping tire to engage the other, it's kinda like a torque convertor, the upside si since there is no friction they don't wear out
