Hi everyone!

Want to get your opinion on this, since most people keep a record of their mods, I want to build a website that can help them manage and update these information so it will be more organize and can be shared more easily. Kinda like a facebook profile for you cars. I'm still finalizing the design and will post it later but what you think. Thanks for your time and feedback!

Cheers,

Alex

Cardomain?

hi krash,

I feel like cardomain is more of a blog where people post their pictures on there with descriptions of what's going on, it's cool but there isn't much organization and the interface is sometimes not very clean. I want to create a site that just focus on the modification specs itself. The difference is subtle and I apologize since I'm not very good at explaining. haha, hopefully the screenshot will give you a better idea.

yea cardomain's UX sucks, but the idea is similar to yours right?

That screenshot looks freaking sweet. I'd definitely join something like that.

I too initially thought you were talking about making another cardomain, but with that screenshot, I think you're onto something cool here.

Thank you krash and Dre! We want our site to be an online tool that user can refer to every time they work on their cars. Will have more screenshots and facebook page up soon so you will know when we launch!

here is one more screenshot of the user profile page. They can keep track of their race settings on here, they are organized by date, track, the latest set up will always be in the front for quick reference but the user can refer back to older ones as well if he needs to. The set up information will be kept super private of course.

Krash, is it ok if i post a survey on here to get more information about people's tuning habits and stuff? It will be strictly confidential and non commercial. Thanks in advance!

Cardomain is fine if you don't have many mods. It gives you a place to post a bunch of pics of your car.
Your screen shots, however, look awesome for those that have extensive mods to their cars, and I mean LOTS! Me for example, it won't do me any good since my 'sploder is stock.

So it's essentially a super basic form of social media for car modders, rather than enthusiasts in general?

Looks like facebook for cars. Seems really cool, especially with the setup log.

An idea like this goes well alongside a forum, as it would allow forum buddies to easily reference each others' mods. And it wouldn't be taking anything away from the forum, because dialog about mods would still take place on the forum. I'm really digging the setup log, too.

Like I mentioned in your email, its a great idea.
I also think if you put in a calendar for scheduled maintenance or a way to add in the last mileage mark that you changed the oil, serviced the brakes, etc that'd be beneficial. Especially since those autozone receipts always fade with time and you can't find the dates. That, and I fail at writing my mileage on the receipt, too.

Hey Ray, thanks. Yup agree. Base on your mileage, date, etc, we can also notify you when you need to do the maintenance.

WD and Pento, do you mind helping me out with the survey? It just a short survey about your tuning habits http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/382B9H9 Thanks guys.

O also, what you all think about having a parts wishlist on there?

Hey guys,

We've been working hard on the site (we are calling it SPEC:) and now it's ready for beta testing!

SPEC: is a tool that captures the details of your project car parts and setups. You can share your profile to show off or get help when you are stuck fixing things.

I'm really excited about it and would love to see what you think. If anyone is interested, you can help us make the site better for everyone by signing up for beta testing. http://www.specapp.cc

Thank you so much for your help and support and look forward to seeing you on there!

Cheers,

Alex
