Dollar for dollar, the ca18 isn't a reasonable option with my power goals. That being said, sometime this spring/summer I am swapping in a different engine combination I have sitting here waiting to be built. I plan to sell all of my ca18det stuff to help partially cover the swap costs(and so they can go to a good home in someone elses project)

Stuff for sale:

ca18det motor set - engine, harness, rom-chipped ecu, alternator, transmission, etc. - PENDING SALE

Megan racing fpr - PENDING SALE

voodoo3 mbc - SOLD

5zigen 3" catback exhaust

Ca18 smic, with custom cold pipe - PENDING SALE

Old school ARC bov - PENDING SALE

Stock sway bars

Stock suspension(springs, struts, etc, rear control arms)

Stock driveshaft

Engine crossmember

Thats just a quick list of what I can think of at the moment, Just trying to get a general feel for interest/value on this stuff... I probably won't get really into the swap untill may/june as I have a couple other projects going on at the moment. At the very worst, the ca18 stuff will go into an '89 mustang shell one of my friends has

Let me know what sort of interest there is on this stuff if you guys don't mind! You can reply here, email me, or whatever works for you.

I'm interested in the motorset and catback, depending on condition and price.

First off, will you ship the motorset? est shipping cost to 38301?

The going rate for a stock CA is about $1300 so how much are you asking? Also, obviously need to see detailed pics of the motorset. Need to know:

- When you bought it- If you have run it since then, what condition it's in now and what maintenance has been done (miles on the engine, compression, any problems / not running smoothly, oil changes, replaced any OEM parts / changed parts like KA TB or MAFS, cut wire harness for 240sx, etc)- If you have NOT run it since then, what condition did the seller claim (miles, compression, maintenance, etc) and have you done anything to the engine?

For the catback need pics and need to know:

- What material is the piping (aluminum, stainless steel, etc)- Did you have it hooked up (i.e. does it fit properly) or did you just buy it for your application but never get to use it.- If it was used, approximately how many miles- asking price?

I am looking for one. I'm here in Phoenix, so location is not an issue. I would like to know what kind of pricing we are looking at. Get in touch with me if you are interested. Thanks

When I bought the car, it already had the ca18 swapped in. I picked it up in Gilbert, Az and drove the car ~150miles home. Everything listed is currently installed in the car and running, including the engine set. It is currently my daily driver, and has been for about 3 months now.

I will be up for selling all of the listed parts in about a month or so, after I get my cougar back on the road - then the 240 will no longer be my daily.

The engine runs fine right now(except for some fuel system issues, im pretty sure it needs a new maf, and injectors - I have been putting it off to keep my cost down, as well as to let the new owner decide what they want to do with it, bigger injectors, etc). The turbo is the stock ca18 turbo, needs a rebuild or to be replaced - like pretty much any ca18 turbos due to age. If I can find my compression tester I will get some compression numbers. I would recomend at the least a basic rebuild (seals, rings, bearings, valve job) for it to be in ideal condition. One valve cover was damaged, and "repaired" by the previous owner - It leaks oil a little, best bet would be to get it tig welded, or replace it. I don't know the history of the engine before I owned it, but I have always changed plugs, oil, and filter regularly. I installed a new timing belt about 2k ago - The one I took out looked factory. I would recomend going through the harness, While it does run I'm not sure how well the swap was done... as I didn't do it. The ecu is rom-chipped with limiters removed, and remapped fuel/timing, stock injectors, stock maf tune. No power steering equipment. The trans needs rebuilt, or replaced eventually - it has bad synchros, and makes noise cruising in 4th... But you can just replace it with a ka24 trans available cheap. If anyone wants more info, feel free to email me - [email protected] , or call my cell 928-386-2529 . I usually work 10am-8:30pm, so if I don't answer leave a name and number so I can call you back. As stated - prices aren't set - taking offers.

Hmmm. How much for the MBC? Any info on it? What kind of boost were you running, and how well did it hold it?

Since I rechipped my ECU and added a new vac source for my Home Depot MBC, I can spike to 18psi and hit fuel cut. Scary ****.

thanks for all the info on the engine. Unfortunately I do not have the financial backing to rebuild the transmission or get a new one, and I need a working running CA with a good transmission in my S13 by the end of September.

I'm sure someone else with a little more money than me will recognize the value of a running motorset that they can buy already knowing exactly what needs to be done to it. Good luck with sales.

As for the mbc, nothing exciting... Just one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW off of ebay. I had it at 8, 10, and 12psi... held all of those pretty well. I'm not sure if it would spike, because I am running a stock small ca downpipe right now and even open wastegate will only get around 13-14psi max. If you want it ill let it go for the cost of shipping.

Sounds good for the MBC. Let's follow the rules and take the final transaction off the board. Take Paypal?
