I going pick up my VH from the local yard for $160. I have three Q45s to choose from one had a pretty dented oil pan(no visible holes). I going to do a compression test on the engine when I get it to my garage but then it dawn on me why not test start it.
I figure with the engine out the car and a fuel line to the engine, ecu,harness and 12V power source I can fire it up for a few second(about 30 sec.) Has anybody every started a engine out of the car, if so please give me hand in knowledge.

they dont have the key, but maybe I can get a jump pack and peel the steering column thanks for the IdeaBoostFab wrote:why not have the yard startup the car before pulling the motor so you dont' waste your time taking a bad motor home ?!
