While many American driving enthusiasts have previously thought of General Tire primarily as an Original Equipment tire supplier to domestic vehicle manufacturers, General Tire has given them an attractively priced Ultra High Performance aftermarket tire that they will be happy to shout about. General Tire's Exclaim UHP tires were developed for sports cars, coupes and sedans, and are designed to provide predictable handling, terrific traction and exceptional hydroplaning resistance on water drenched roads.

To find out how well General Tire's Exclaim UHP stacks up against its competition, we compared its road manners and handling performance with the Ultra High Performance Summer KUMHO ECSTA SPT and Yokohama AVS ES100.

Wow Kumho really stepped up with an answer to the ES100!

Lee, when are we gonna see a test of the real ultra high performance tires:

- Falken Azenis RT-615- Kumho MX- Bridgestone S03- Advan Neova- Michelin Pilot Sport II- Etc.

On something like an S2000, 350Z, etc. where the tire can be put to the test. I'd like to see 1.0+ G figures out of the test.

Test only those that give performance numbers, ride quality and noise matter not.

You know all those dry traction monsters

I personally could care less about wet weather handling, but I don't like running around on R-Compound rubber that just gets heat-cycled to oblivion and lose their edge.

Is the Kuhmo SPT a step up from the Ecsta 712??

And I didnt realize Tire Rack had user reviews for each tire. That will come in handy...
