hey , I got an 86 n/a 300zx , ive been trying to find a test pipe to get rid of my cats, but I can't seem to find any, so I was wondering , is there any cars that will have the same size test pipes as the z31, thanks in advance

Wow, I haven't heard the term test pipe in a very long time! I think the Z is completely unique so if you can get away with Cat delete (what state do you live in that has no smog test, lucky you) I would just take it to a muffler shop and get them to run a completely new exhaust system. These are not that expensive to do.

I live in Georgia , luckily I don’t need to do emissions anymore , I was thinking of getting a test pipe made by a local automotive shop and buying an exhaust of thezstore and welding turn down pipes onto that

You could just get a muffler shop to cut right before the Cat and weld in a new "no cat back" from there. I don't think they make test pipes anymore. A long time ago I had a Toyota Celica before CA required smog every 2 years (this was in the late 870's early 80's) and I did headers going to a larger exhaust pipe to a turbo muffler, man did it make a difference. You can probably get that type of thing done cheaper than fabricating sometihng to fit in the cat, but go to an exhaust shop they do that everyday.

Your lucky, in CA I dread every 2 years when the registration shows up with SMOG TEST REQUIRED and it usually cost me $300-800 bucks to figure out what is causing me to be out of spec. I would love to do with my Z what I did the Celica. I took that old 105 HP 2.2 liter engine that topped out at 105 MPH and got 22-29 MPG with a 5 speed to more like 125 HP that was red line limited to 125 MPH and got 29-32 MPG (even more when I could put leaded gas in there). I figure you'll get 15-20 more HP out of this setup.
