well this is prolly a noob question but I've been wondering basicly what are test pipes and what are the pros cons of having them? I know that they are in the exhaust system but I would like to know the purpose of them. does it enhance the performance or the sound any and also can they be paired with the nismo exhaust?

A test pipe is just a simple pipe which replaces the catalytic converter. Theoretically, it should increase HP by reducing exhaust flow restriction. It will make your car louder; however, they are illegal to run on the street.

cool thanks. Do you know of any high flow cats that would still be legal but increase power and sound?

Thanks in advance

so I was doing some research and it looks like I need a test pipe with a resonator to make it legal. Does anyone know of any companies that make one for the A/C yet?

thanks
