test drove the ex35...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

my biggest peeve was the vertically narrow visibliity out the front.

the rear-view mirror blocks quite a big of the 1-2 o'clock view.

and rear and 4 o'clock views aren't great either.

for owners of ex35 (same in ex45) - has this been an issue.

Forward (and side) visibility is great in my opinion but the rear visibility is limited by the large headrest - I find myself leaning more to the side to see than on our old X3. The side mirrors are very large - you still should turn around. The rear window is a little smaller than on the X3 but not that big a difference. Its easy to start relying on the cameras which provide a great view around. I've never noticed any issue with forward visibility though - I'm 6'1" tall.

Front windshield is great..unless you are comparing w/ a truck like the F150. Rear windshield, I think most cars nowadays are designed like that. Higher doors, less glass. I had a MB CLK (02) and it took sometime to get used to.

EX45 ?

Never noticed these issues with forward visibilty. The Mirrors aren't in my way, either.

Blind spots exist in every Car, but you figure them out and adjust.

Appreciate your opinion, tough.

Nope.. not at all. It's like any car, you get used to it after your drive it. Some are better, some are worse, but it seems most of the newer vehicles are getting worse. The side view mirrors are pretty big/nice on the EX. The backup camera is needed, as on most newer vehicles, very hard to see back there.
