Went to Carmax today and drove an '03 Track model. I was very impressed! The car was definitly tight, suspension is nice and stiff and the gearbox was smooth. Much better engineered car than the '03 Mach 1 Mustang that I had. Hopefully they will give me a good deal on trading in my I35. The Track model is a bit pricey though, I'm really looking to stay around 20k, probably pick up a touring or Enthusiast model. I guess I'll just have to see what heppens. I really want one though!! Has anyone every dealt with Carmax?? They have a couple Zs that are at other stores that are in my price range. I know they can transfer them here, just kinda strange buying a car that I haven't driven.

Just read the fine print and don't let them slip one on you.

HAHA! Noway, not going to let that happen. If I can't buy one for the price I want, I just won't buy it! I'm in absolutly no hurry to buy one, so, I have time on my side. If I come across a good deal, I will buy one, if not, oh well.

I heard good things about car max, their pricing is set so no negotiating, and they ten to sell at just below full book, you could likely get a better deal from an individual or maybe even another lot but carmax does their homework and only sells top quality used cars

If you're looking for a fun sporty car, spend a little extra and get the track model.

im sure you know how lots of dealers get their cars from auctions and such. well carmax is very reputable and WILL NEVER sell you a faulty car even though they will buy all cars from people. the ones they don't think are reliable are automatically sent to auction. they really mean it when they say they won't sell you a lemon or something like that. the prices though are on average a couple grand higher than what you can relaly get it for.

Thanks for the input guys. I am still looking around, found one nearby at Crown Nissan that is perfect......except it is an Auto So, the search continues. Crown Nissan gives a free 84 month 100,000 mile factory warranty on their certified Nissans with less than 60k on them, so, I might just sit back and wait for them to get one on the lot that is within my range. The track model I drove was real nice, although, they are very hard to find. I'd be pleased with an Enthusiast or Touring. I'd love to have a Track, but, they are just rare it seems. Plus, I'm trying to keep it close to $20K.
