I test drove a red w/blond interior 3.5 A/C this afternoon. That is one sweet ride. I found nothing wrong with the car. They wanted $26k. I also test drove a A/S 2.5 CVT 2007 since it is the same engine as that of the coupe. I really enjoyed the 2.5--I think it will be plenty of car for me. My V6 1990 Acura is pretty quick, and I think the 2.5 is quicker.

Oh yeah!! While driving the 07 2.5 Sedan, the manual mode on the CVT wasn't working. I slid the shifter over and began shifting, nothing. I then noticed on the dash display, it still said D--A. (for Drive and Auto, I presume). I disengaged and engaged manual mode several times while the salesman started to sweat: "That shouldn't be happening, (gulp)" I ended up stopping, turning off the car and then turning it back on. Then manual mode worked fine. Has that happened to anyone else?

Thats a pretty peculiar thing that happened. Was this at a stand still or while you were moving? Would the car not accelerate when engaging it while moving? I'm just curious to know how exactly the car reacted when this happened.I wouldn't let it discourage you, just don't buy that particular one

I engaged the manual mode after driving for about a mile. I came to a stop right before a nice stretch and thought I'd punch it in manual drive. I could tell right away the car wasn't in sync with my up shifts. After about a minute I brought it to the dealer's (and my father's) attention. (Talk about a salesman's nightmare!!) I thought it was pretty funny the way the guy was stuttering! That's like selling someone a house and the roof starts leaking!

It simply stayed in auto mode. Its not the worst thing that can happen, but still, its an 07; that sh*t shouldn't happen.

This experience won't deter me; I will continue to look for the coupe that I want. I have a lead on a specific coupe that should be hitting the floors in a dealer not 45 minutes from my house that I might buy within a week. I'm looking for a Silver 2.5 CVT w/Convenience package.

I know I've already said it, but that 3.5 was sick!!! The 2.5 wasn't exactly stalling at the light, either.
