Who's getting it?
The first was an MMO racing game with a huge map and a ton of nice cars, the new one has double the map and tons of more features and cars.

The game drops tomorrow!

SMEG! I didn't realize yesterday was the street date for it. I've been looking forward to it forever. I'll have to pick it up soon.

I'd have posted this up sooner but I was trying to give Atari the benefit of the doubt thanks to providing me some well wasted hours in my youth...

I urge everyone to do their due dilligence before considering picking this thing called Test Drive Unlimted 2 up. It's far below average with an awful launch. It's almost like Eden and Atari knew the game wasn't what it was supposed to be and planned to patch it post release (I'm getting pretty sick of that attitude!) and now are just tired of hearing the people the purchased the title complain about how bad the game is.

I'm not one to trade games in but after a month of deception from Atari it's due to be culled from my gaming herd.

this^ i was giving them the benefit as well hoping the patch would only be a few days, turns out it just came out yesterday, its 200mb. That is one month with server problems etc. Although i enjoy free roaming and beating people at p0ker in the casino it is a very buggy game. The patch seemed to improve things a bit but not everything.

Yeah, reports of bugginess are disappointing.

I tend to give online games more leeway, as there are a lot more variables to get in order. But I share the irritation that it has become the norm to ship unfinished games and then patch in the finishes over the initial weeks.

I'm waiting until I hear things have been ironed out before I make the purchase. I'd rather save the cash from TDU2 and put it toward a 3DS anyway.

When do the Nintendo DS versions end.. I bought that crap, worse mistake ever..

However, it was ok when I was playing it.. some good ol' fashioned game titles I missed and could play on the DS...

Now a 3DS... ugh...

Madness!

While I agree that Nintendo does tend to get carried away with their handheld revisions (looking at you, GBA) this is NOT one of those cases. The 3DS is not a DS, it's a 3DS. No different than PS2 following up PS1. It is not just another form-factor revision, it's a completely new console that happens to be backward compatible with DS games.

What else is a console for BUT playing? You trying to fry eggs with it or something? ;)

Also, I recently posted this:

I definitely don't agree that the DS is crap or a waste.

I am currently playing this, it's the exact same thing as the first TDU but with some extra stuff added in (Casino, Sim's like customizability of your homes and character). I have a club if anyone wants to join (NICOClub.com) right now I'm the only member.

I was waiting for another Nico member to say something. Do you mostly cruise or race?

Right now I'm mostly cruising and doing the SP events to level up. I have roughly 90-95% of Ibiza discovered and just have A7 High and the Ibiza cup left, haven't really started on Oahu yet, don't have any of the Oahu events or licenses done abd have maybe 5-10% of the island discovered. Right now my best car is the Lvl 3 Sti.
