I was on my way home from work looking forward to working out when my daughter calls me and wants me to go test drive some cars. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Anyway, we meet up and head to our local Nissan dealer. First she drives a used Xterra. Seemed to like it ok. She might be attending college in the NC mountains, so a 4x4 would be handy. But, then we test drive a 05 350Z. She REALLY liked it. It is about the color of the sofa and was an auto. She said that she liked driving it better than my g35 which she asks to take out on occasion. This one had the cloth seats and seemed to be rather comfy compared to the G coupe seats I've set in.

While I was there, I was admiring the Nismo Z and one of the salesmen walked up that I've known for a while and knows I send business there way. I mentioned taking it out for a little test drive next time I stop in. So, might have to head that way today. My wife had wanted to go check out the Mustang GT-R's that a local CLT Ford dealer is making. They have F150 GT-R's and Focus GT-R's as well.

Let me share a pic for ZOZO! You know he's a closet mustang lover!

OK, back to my rambling. Are there others out there like me who just love to go test drive cars? Or do I need to get help?

I also noticed that the guy that let me drive a new Z06 several years ago is back at the local chevy dealer........and yes, I would love to take one out again now!!!! maybe I do need help...

Let me start with this. J/K

anyways I used to testdrive cars crazy. I think it is fun. You are screwing with demo cars not yours. That's a bonus. I had one weekend 12 testdrive. But that was long time ago. The best part if you roll in the dealership with a nice car they don't want you to leave without buying something. So they keep asking how about this or that.

Hey that wierd car on the pic. I don't know the name of it.With that jumping "unicorn" on the front. Can't see TOO many on the road. Anyways the bumper looks crapy but other than than that should be a good soccer mom car.

Now back to the serious things. 350z sounds so good for her but as you said 4x4 would be an asset. Why don't you look for a used TT coupe? The TT got the AWD so would be helpfull.

That's a good idea. Subaru would take her thru everything. Time to testdrive one.

The wife & I stopped by our local Nissan dealer to take out the Nismo Z (red color) for about an hour. Didn't really push it at all....or much. Took it down the highway and they thru some curves near by. Felt like I REALLY needed to be pushing it faster thru the curves. But, it was dark when we got there and I didn't have but an hour with it. The brakes were a little touchie, and the trottle was about the same as a regular Z. But, the suspension felt much tighter. If I were younger, it would be mine.....oh yes...in black!

Oh, we also went down to CLT to check out the GT-R mustangs....we both were disappointed. Didn't like the 20 inch wheels or the plastic stick-on stuff in the interior. And, with only 30 additional HP, not enough to make up for the added weight of the body kit. Sounded pretty good with the Bassani exhaust. BUT, when you put a red R on a car it needs to have more go than show.

350z is really good for wekend wariors. It is a wicked little beast. I love it. That's what I though about it. It will be a little bit tighter suspension.

Too bad you couldn't push her. I would be interested to hear the differences in performance.
