Test Drive soon! 2004 G35 - what to watch for

Hello. I have come from a 93 twin turbo RX7 and 2000 BMW 323i. I am looking to buy a 2004 coupe with about 24K miles on it.

What should I look for? I will drive both a std and automatic to test them both. To be honest, I drove the Nissan Z and found the clutch hard to take. I assume the Infiniti will be the same?

Does anyone have pros/cons about std vs auto as well as tips re a test drive? ie common problems, noises, etc.

Welcome to Nico ...that year has the Brembo brakes. Great for performance, bad for wear!

Check the brakes!!!

I purchased a used 2004 about two weeks ago. This car has ~23000 miles. In review of the service hsitory, the brakes were all replaced about 1000 miles ago. I would check the brakes - as others have suggested. The only other item was an issue with the door trim that was replaced. Good luck and enjoy!
