Hello,

I just wanted to share some stats and specs on the TIIDA (VERSA). The only difference is the engine that is a HR16 as oppose to our MR18.

Look at the pics below:

Fuel economy in mpg is as follows 64.97mpg, 54.05mpg and 51.51mpg aprox.

Here's a link of the video as this was a car magazine that made the tests...only drawback is that is in thai.

Are there any tests for the MR18 engine??

cool numbers right??

Cheers,

There are probably some good reviews from Austrailia or Great Britian with the smaller motor. Although it might be the 1.5L variant.

You must have used imperical gallons...

In US standard miles and gallons, it converts to 54.2mpg, 44.9mpg and 42.8mpg. I think there is an ISO test that test these at steady speeds.

My BMW R1150R motorcycle for example gets 51.1mpg@100kph. In real world riding, I get 40-45.

Off hand, would guess the MR18DE would get around 48, 40, 39.

13.2 to 100kph doesn't sound very quick. I think the Versa with the 6 speed can manage somwhere around 9.5 (the 0-60 I think is 8.5). Overall it's probably a good economical motor, but too underpowered for use in the US for a car over 2600lbs.

yeah, you are right I messed up the numbers 'cause I use a wrong conversion...nevertheless, I just wanted to share the review with you all...I want a review with real numbers on our engine...
