I was at my local dealer for a tire rotation on my 2014 Rogue AWD SL, and while browsing around waiting there she was a Black 2015 Murano Platinum. The owner of the dealership knowing I was a previous Murano owner asked me if I wanted to take it for a drive, big mistake, now I want one. This new Murano was not only visually striking but just sitting in it makes you want one. The start button was further over to the right on the console and as soon as the engine comes to life the memory seats move as does the steering wheel to the preset position. That's one feature I loved on my earlier Murano that was lacking on my 2013 Altima and my current 2014 Rogue. A WARNING.... If you own a Rogue or 2014 Murano don't drive the new Murano, if you do you'll just feel bad getting into your current ride. Driving the 2015 I went from city streets to the highway and the 3.5 V6 has the power I love, to bad they don't offer this engine in the Rogue. This thing is awesome, so much so I was actually tempted to trade in my 2014 Rogue on it, but then logic kicked in along with thoughts on how much I still owe of my Rogue brought me back to my senses. That said this will in perhaps a year or two be my next Nissan.
Again, fair warning, don't drive one unless you're in the market to buy.

It was $41,800 and was a Platinum with every option except the moonroof.

Yeah, that's a pretty penny!
Production just got shifted from Japan to the US, so it would probably be wise to wait a little while for the kinks to get worked out too ;)

I totally agree about waiting till all the kinks are worked out. That said, drive one and I think you'll be as impressed as I was.

I am having mine delivered on Saturday so I can sign the papers. Trading in 2013 Infiniti JX35 and the Murano Platinum with Tech is the same vehicle with better power. The only thing we will be losing from the JX is power fold mirrors...

Good luck, let us know what you think of it when you pick it up. If you can, post a photo, that will make me yearn for one even more.

It is funny. When we test drove the Murano, we were actually returning an Evoque from an overnight test drive. We have also looked at Volvo XC60, BMW X3, and the Lexus NX. Funny how Nissan has the Murano that is comparable to them all. Technology wise, I would never compare the drive of the nissan to the BMW...

Went and test drove one a couple of days ago, and bought it on the spot. Just got delivery yesterday. A silver SL (Canadian model). Traded in a 2010 EL with 160,000 km on it. This is our third Murano.

Loved the 2010, but the 2015 is better in every way. Better ride and handling, much quieter, better sound system, much more elegant interior and the new SL listed for less than the EL in 2010.

The new SL has just about everything the old EL had (except for the powered tllt and telescope steering wheel and rear seat heaters) but has standard nav, which the EL didn't so I figure it was a great bargain.

The new Platinum would have been nice, but the price difference to me is too much for the extras you get. I think the SL is the sweet spot.

Originally I was going to keep the 2010 for another year, but with the Canadian dollar dropping against the U.S. dollar, I figure prices will have to go up.

I too bought the 2014 Nissan Rogue SL last spring (April 1, 2014). Saturday I stopped by my dealership for service and showed the new Murano SL with tech package to my husband. I had fallen in love with the pictures they had posted last year on the Nissan website. Looking at it in person I could not believe how sharp it was. My husband agreed. Our salesman told us to take it for a drive. We came back, they talked numbers and I walked out with the Murano and a huge smile. I can not believe the difference in the ride, the handling- the interior comfort. The cabin is so quiet. Definitely equals any luxury brand vehicle - to include my husband's brand new Mercedes. The exterior lines, LED lights are just beautiful. Nissan really out did themselves. The intelligent cruise control is beyond fantastic. I do a lot of highway commuting and it is perfect!! I would not want a vehicle without it now.. I am spoiled. :)

Anyone considering a 2015 Murano should consider this: I bought one a month ago and have come to realize that the handling is very touchy and twichy (if that is a word) at speed. When you test drive the car, do it on a flat smooth highway or freeway at least 65mph or more, and pay close attention to how sensitive the steering is, and how the car does NOT want to track straight. You are always overcorrecting. Now you ask, who the heck am I to say that? Good question. I have had 2 other Muranos--all great handling , I am a retired military pilot and airline Captain, I have taken several high performance and racing school courses. I hope I know how a car should handle, and my copy does not handle well. It has been back to the dealer twice so far (1000 miles total) had alignment checked and they say--as usual--that behavior is normal for this car. So do yourself a favor and pay attention to the car--you will have to live with it for a long time. City street handling is fine--only freeway driving is an issue with me.

^Interesting. Did the dealership give you a printout of what the alignment actually is?

Sounds like they could toe you in a bit more and get rid of it, even if its out of factory specifications.
