terrible shaking problem NEED HELP

Hey i have a 1989 240sx and when i either go past 40 or when i punch the gas i get this terrible shaking of the car. my freind was following behind me and he said that there was somthign shaking in the rear end could somthing in my rear suspension? i know i need struts could that be the problem or could my tires be not ballenced? i dont know i need help!!!!!

get under it and see if the subfram bushings are completely shot. gotta find out whats under there. then get some shocks and get the tires balanced, align it while youre at it.

Could be that you need to get your tires rotated to.

ok well balenced my wheels and damn that helped alot but it still has a slight shimmy to it. toamrrow i will get under and look at all the bushings and check out my tie rod ends and rotors. that shoudl narrow it down
