I was getting about 20 mpg driving 100% city with a heavy foot and I was fairly happy with that, but it seems I'm getting the same when I drive almost all freeway too.

Whatcha guys think I should check? The usual spark plugs, fuel filter, cap n' rotors? Theromstat?

I haven't had my car that long, maybe two months or so. Sometimes when I push the clutch in, the car sometimes stalls [I'm fairly sure it's the coolant temp sensor]. Also, sometimes when I push the clutch in, the RPMs will go down to 1200 or so and very slowly go down to idle, even though I'm not using AC or touching the gas.

And sometimes if I have the heater blowing, the air will blow hotter or cooler depending on how I drive. Is that normal too?

you might want to check your PCV valve if you are losing gas milage... and 89_240Coupe it will also help if you are experiencing a rough idle. from what car is your KA from? and how many miles are on it you have to change this from time to time and if you have a KA its prolly old and time to change it.

I have the same problems. My mechanic said he thinks it is the IACV. I don't think so, I think its the Coolant Temp Sensor.I guess my rough idle could be because of the IACV, but I think I most likely have a bad IACV and and bad coolant temp sensor.

Try doing the sea foam thing, its cheap and cleans out the carbon buildup the motor.
