So a few weeks ago, sometime before noon on friday I was driving to Best Buy to do a little bit of Christmas shopping.

I drove through a busy intersection over I-25 and some ***clown in two door Civic cuts me off. He was in the right lane and went two lanes over cause he almost missed his turn onto the freeway. I was driving on the far left lane that goes straight. He was less than five feet away from my front end.

Man was I pissed off. Everyday I get into my car and drive, I always encounter a bad driver. People don't understand the rules of the road in this state. Sometimes, I even get paranoid and nervous of other people.

What were your close experiences?

I see quite a few, too, but luckily my commute has pretty light traffic. But when the idiots show up, I like to remember a quote I heard years ago: "Never assume malice for that which is adequately explained by stupidity." Usually helps me keep calmer.

About a month ago I was driving home on I-275 (any one in Tampa/St. Pete area knows that this is bumper to bumper the entire way). Anyway, I'm in the far left lane and this idiot in a old red Nissan Quest swerves into my lane and cuts me off...missing me by inches. I slammed on my brakes and I feel a bump from behind me. I pull over and a cop runs up to my window...it was an undercover cop car that bumped me. No damage, he asked if I could describe the car that cut me off because he didn't notice at the time. I described it to him and he took off. About 10 minutes later I'm still on I-275 and see the red van pulled over by the cop. I just lay on my horn and flick him the bird as I drive by...the cop just laughs and waves back at me while the guy in the van shakes his head.

I think this is only the second time in my life when a cop was near me when I needed one.

How many times have I wished that would happen to me?!!! Getting to see the sweet sweet revenge! Brings a tear to my eye.

and MileHigh--You are right about CO bad drivers. and you have the insurance premiums to prove it. My sister moved to Denver (from Nebraska) about 5 years ago and she said her car insurance went up $1000 just for moving there.
