Well my bushings are bad. So the dealer wants to charge me $370 for new ones!!!!!!! I want to upgrade, so anyone have suggestions experiences and places i should purchase the rods? Suspension is a very high priority on my car so the ride may be compromised a little. Thanks.

the whiteline PU bushings work well. You can get em from http://www.pdm-racing.com . I used a drill and reciprocating saw to get the old unit out. Then i used a carjack and the bottom of my car to get the new ones in.

Dude, dealers are freakin rip offs. They're going to try to sell you crap you don't need. Also, they'll overcharge you up the arsehole on labor~! First thing, just because you have bad bushings, you don't have to replace the whole damn tension rod. It is an easy install that can be done by any novice mechanic with a set of wrenches, sockets, a floor jack, a vise, and jackstands.

Here's a complete pictoral taken from importnut.net (Al's a good guy): http://importnut.net/240pics/bushings/page_01.htm

PDM-Racing carries Whiteline tension rod bushings for $45.00: http://www.pdm-racing.com/prod....html

Courtseyparts.com/Courtsey Nissan of Texas carries Energy Suspension tension rod bushings for $36.95: http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...7105G

$370, IMO, is such a damn waste of money to be spent on a new pair of OEM Nissan tension rods equipped with OEM bushings. I suppose an hour of labor is caculated in there already. But seriously, if you do-it-yourself, it'll take 1 to 2 hours. With $370, I would rather get a set of these: http://srswap.com/shopexd.asp?id=429

I hope you make the right decision.

I also had that same problem. I called up courtesy, got two new tension rods with bushings for 110 shipped. Then cost 70 for labor at a shop near my house. It isn't that hard to do but I didn't have the time. You should be done in an hour.

if all you are planning on doing is replacing the bushings, just order nismo urethanes. other than that, you could get a new set of adjustable tension rods for the price they want to charge you at the dealership. i am looking at a set of JIC tension rods, but there are plenty of brands, i think the Teins are not that expensive. ive heard on the whole the ride quality is not that bad, it affects impact harshness, in a review for the JIC's they said only every once in a while is it considerably harsh.

I don't believe it is included, but I may be wrong.

the nismo tension rods are just OE tension rods with nismo urethane bushings, so unless u need a new rod, might as well just order the bushing from nismo or somewhere else.

They are included (if you got the full set).

They are the two big red bushings with metal tubes in the middle. You'll need to get them pressed in....30 bucks, and its 3 bolts for each tension rod...20 minutes to get off. Its extremely simple. The only problem was trying to find someone to press them in. Two places I went to didn't want to cause they were afraid they were bust them.
