My 91q 73k has always had a slight pull to the right. Re-alignment can't seem to correct this. Has anybody had any experience with longer tension rods? part #54468-60u10 (.5 mm change) or 54468-60u11 ( 1.1 mm change) valleybouy

I thought these rods were made for later series or wrecked cars.

Please post your before and after alignment readings.

Much info on this board about this. If your caster is off between the wheels, you will get a drift/pull. Pull = probably something more severe, Drift = easy fix?? Mine continually drifted right after 2 alignments and I finally discovered left caster was 5.6 and right caster was 5.2. The difference between the right and left wheels caused the drift. I bought the .5 one from Joe at Scottsdale and installed it--solved 85% of the drift problem. Its any easy fix that can be done in about 15 minutes with only 3 nuts to remove. Good luck.

Maxnix; The last alignment; left front caster 5.8deg, camber -1.0deg, toe 1/32''. right front caster 5.4deg, camber -0.9, toe 1/32". left rear camber -1.4deg, toe 1/16". right rear camber -1.3", toe1/16" . My standard michelin xgtv tires have 10k miles on them and show only minute inside scrubbing. valleybouy

Took my 91 q to the shop to have upper links and tension rods replaced. Hope to cure slight pull to the right by using TR 54468-60u10 (.5 mm or degree? longer). When I told the alignment tech about the longer link he said it seemed to him it would create more pull if installed on the side of the pull. This dosn't instill much confidence, and frankly my highschool geometry ain't working. Does anybody have any sugestions? Valleybouy

The tension rod is shorter not longer therefore it corrects the drift. If my memory is correct it looked about 1/4 inch shorter than the old one and because of that was a little tricky to install--takes some force.

Doug...did you say it only takes about 15 minutes to change out the tension rods?

Very easy--I have done 3 of them and can do very quickly. Virtually impossible to do wrong--max time would be 30 minutes. The bellypan can stay on. Just 2 nuts from the front, and a bolt with a nut on the rear. 17MM I believe--you do need a torque wrench.
