On my 97Q45 both of the front Tension Rods have a slight bend in them. Is this normal or do any of you have Q45's (year 90-2000) riding on slightly bent Tension Rods? I like the ride and steering of my car since I replaced the Tension Rod bushings but I was wondering what is the norm for my car. I did not think much about it because 2 different 97 Q45 cars that I saw at the local junkyard also had slightly bent front Tension Rods.

they are not supposed to be bent, sounds like someone may have tried to jack up the car using them or something...

i changed them on my 99q few months ago and i believe both factory rods were bent slightly but the aftermarket ones that i replaced them with were straight.

Thanks for the heads up. My Tensions Rods do not have a mark on them or any signs of being bent from impact or weight bearing. So I am assuming that they come like that from the factory. However, if i get some aftermarket Tensions Rods they are all straight and I wonder how that will fit on my car.
