Replaced upper links yesterday...Still on Jackstands...

Thinking about doing the Tension Rod Bushings if it don't rain...

Question...Can the Bushings be pressed out/in using a vise?

Thanks...

From what others have posted it would require a HUGE vise and an enormous breaker bar.

A local mech/shop should have the tools/abaility to do it.

Hydraulic press with correctly sized drifts. Any machine shop so equipped should handle it easily.

Arrows should point forward on new bushings.

I tried this recently with a vice and a fairly stout arbor press. I bent the handle on the vice (using a steel pipe extension) and the bushings just laughed at me when I tried the manual press.

I spent $25 for a machine shop to press them--worth every penny.
