hey all,

i was wondering how to access a certain bolt on the tension rod bracket closest to the LCA. it feels like it's held on the other side by a nut or something. i looked around from the bottom and under the hood and can't find an access point to the other side of the bolt. the FSM says that it's supposed to be a nut and the other two connections on the t/c bracket
to the frame are bolts (FA-4). car is a 92' 240sx.

oh sorry i forgot to mention that i need to tighten it. the gap from the bracket and the frame is how it looked when i jacked the car up. the bolt is just wiggling loosely and i can't figure out how to access the other side to tighten it down.

I don't think need to get to the other side of it. It should have a nut welded to the frame that it screws into. Now if that nut broke off somehow, it would never tighten.

If the welded nut inside the frame rail has come loose, then use a screwdriver or something to stick in one of the holes on the side of the frame rail to press against it and hold it down. I have one like that on my coupe.

Otherwise for a more perm solution, maybe 2 options:
-Cut the frame rail, weld the nut, and then weld the section back in (probably with some bracing to be safe)
-Weld in a stud and use a nut on it.
