more than two actually. none until now (including yours) made the definitive statement tat FSM was wrong. all left it open ended. unless another poster offers up a contrary idea i will go with that. does any one know why the tension rod bushing should point forward? just curious. thx

i think its probably less important which direction the arrow is pointed, just so that the arrow is pointing down the line of action along the centerline of the tension rod.

ok then. maybe that is the case. does anyone really KNOW as in the definitive of KNOW? obviously the arrow is there for a reason. as far as i can tell brian assumes it points forward because other nissan arrows point forward. not sure i buy in to that logic. wes says forward or backward just not any of the other 358 degrees. with respect to both of those opinions will dennis please chime in & give the one & only true god answer? please.

brian, you are 100% correct. upon removal of existing the arrows point forward. now if i had only gotten the correct bushings. frustrating day in the trenches. bad crank pulley, wrong bushings, skinned knucks=no progress. wahwahwah.
