I have recently experienced issues with both of my knock sensors but do not have the time for a couple more weeks to pull everything and replace them. The car is misfiring and lack alot of power and drive ability because if the safe (rich) mode it is in. I know people temporary use an in line resistor to trick the ecu into thinking the knock sensors are good. My question is what watt 560K resistor do I need. They sell 1/4 watt, 1/2 watt, and 1 watt. I understand the risks, and any help is appreciated

Defective knock sensors do NOT cause your engine to run "rich" or "misfire",your problems lie elsewhere, check MAF to begin with, and scan for codes.

And what are the odds of both of them going bad at once? I suggest the same, it's not knock sensors. They certainly do not make the engine go rich and the PCM would simply tune that out anyway because of the O2 readings.

Knock sensors are common problems and i have already verified they are bad. Since the ecu is not currently seeing any resistance that is required from them it is retarding the timing and adding fuel to keep it safe.

Also all codes are knock sensor codes p0325, p0330

You have no need to add fuel when timing is slowed, it is self-fulfilling, the engine has less time to burn it and more will be left over unburned...............when the extra HC hits the O2s they may even signal for more lean to compensate.
