i was told by a friend that since my clear coat is mostly gone, if i just sand off the rest of the clear coat and laquer it or wax it (dont remember, thats y im askin) it will protect it fairly well and look a lil better...can any1 shed some light on this? there are spots on the car that are EXTREMELY faded, like that light blue spot under the drivers side headlight...just wanna make it look a little better for now, no money for a paint job.

Good luck just sanding it down, very very hard to do and not mess up the paint.......I think Maco and other body shops do respray your clear coats for ya, and I think its not to expensive..............welcome back BRO!!!
