tempeture gauge

My cars tempeture gauge keeps going up, but only when i accelerate.I checked the coolant and its fine! do you think it could be the water pump? I really have no idea on this one. Please help!Tempeture Gauge?

no its not moving with the speedometer, but my tempeture goes up then it goes down and so on. yes i checked my coolant.

my temperature gauge bounces up and down (or pegs..whatever the right term is) when i rev the engine ...could it be the sensor? is it an expensive fix?

i was having similar problems 93low...and mine was the thermostat..just make sure you seal everything up with a felpro(or whatever brand) gasket..and some gasket sealer...but i also had a problem with my radiator(visible crack in the plastic)..let us know how it goes

how much do u think a new thermostat would go for?

3-6$ and its a pain an the as5 to do in the cold an dark on a Ka24e.. when mine went out i think it was the problem. the temp gauge would fall every time i WOT it... and the heat wasnt hot.. well i replaced it an the gauge works but ive never seen it go past half way. ever in the 2yrs i had it never past half...well after i changed it the damn thermostat stuck open an the car wouldnt heat up even idling for ever i didnt have heat for 2weeks but it has mysteriously fixed itself an i got heat again..... my passenger floor boards been real wet lately so i may have a bad core

yea i noticed that my heat isnt hot it blows warm air, so i think your right on the thermastat, what else did you replace? just the thermostat?

yeah just the thermostat
