Hi, just curious if the front door windows of a 2012 Infiniti M37X 4 door sedan are laminated or tempered? The window label on the drivers side front window states "DOT 23 NIPPON SAFEDTY AS2 NSG.M508 E6 43R-00012". The rear windows have a different sticker and state "Tempalex"(which are tempered). The windshield sticker states "Lampane" which is laminated. But what are the front windows, laminated or tempured? It's not clear. Thanks!

For those who aren't in the know - is one better than the other?

They're all tempered, laminated just means it has a plastic layer in between the glass laminates so it will stay together if it shatters. Laminated is obviously better, but using tempered for things like rear door windows and sunroofs is a common cost-cutting corner.

I thought the front is required to be laminated so shards of glass doesn't fly into your face in a crash

Windshields for sure, and I think front doors. Everything else is a manufacturer decision. Why most sunroofs are plain tempered and not laminated is beyond me. Nasty mess when they break, and a literal glass shower in an accident.
