Hello
Am new to this but I do have a 2006 infiniti m45 and my problem here is today this morning everything was fine and now when I get in my car and turn it on my temperature light comes on but my car is not over heating my gauge shows normal temp. So it's throwing me off and am not sure what to do.

Do you have access to an OBDII reader? Curious what the digital read out for the temp is...it's possible the gauge isn't accurate or that it's touching a 'high maximum'.

Unfortunately I do not have a code reader.. so I been driving the car but the car is fine runs perfectly fine

I'm wondering if maybe the ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor is bad...but if it was I think the car would be having other issues...

That's what I heard from a friend that maybe my sensor could be bad and honestly I hope that's the issue but still concerned abt it

Get the FSM from the HowTo link and take a voltmeter to it and see if it's within spec...
