On my '94 J30t, the temperature gauge registers half way between "C" and "H" under normal driving conditions. Is this an appropriate mark, or should it be running slightly cooler? Would appreciate some feedback on what your J's are registering.:help

I just had the anti-freeze changed out and flushed. I did not have the thermostat changed. Was that a mistake? What is the recommended thought for changing out the thermostat? Also, where is it located? Thanks !!!

How many miles do you have?? IMHO since your car seems to be warming up timely and not running too hot, its probably not that big of a deal

On the J, its just on the waterpump, where the hose from the radiator goes into.... Just behind that housing.

Don't worry about it. You should be right between hot and cold. How many miles???

It is a '94 J30t with 58,000 miles on it. It is my wife's car and the original owner. Sits in the garage and runs errands. Timing chain has been replaced, so would they have changed out the thermostat at that time also. All work of this type has been done by the Infiniti dealership.

They would have if they changed the water pump, but most likely didn't.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and it registers consistently just a hair below the half-way point (almost pointing horizontally). I've noticed that it creeps up ever so slightly when cruising at 100 mph :D
