my temp sensor in the cluster is not working at all, stuck on full cold.i replaced the coolant temp sensor with brand new sensor (2wire plug) and also the sensor that relays to the gauge (1 wire plug) because the connector on the old one was wiggling around a bunch. gauge is still stuck all the way cold. i grounded the 1wire plug with the key ON . and it still didnt move. any advice here? or anyone have a diagram with that wire. i checked the ECCS wiring diagram for my car and couldnt figure it out, i acutally couldnt even find the 1 wire sensor on it .

also the new temp sensor that relays to the gauge was for a 91... i have a 93..?

2-wire sensor is used by the ECU.

1-wire sensor goes directly to the dash temp gauge.

Easiest way is to use a continuity checker and probe from cluster to sensor to see if there's a break in the wire.

so i checked the wire at least everywhere i could find it and see it.. didnt see anything bad or corroded.

also, i took the gauge cluster out and swapped the fuel gauge from another cluster, while i was back there i noticed that some of the wires for the cluster plugs had been cut and saughtered with others, going to differnt plugs on the back of the gauge cluster.... they all looks like they were getting amps but looked a bit janky.. i pulled lightly on all the ones that had been saughtered and made sure they didnt pull apart.
